Auberge du Vieux Foyer

Had a girls time away, July 5th - 7th, 2020. The Auberge is just outside the city of Val-David about 2 1/2 km. It is a beautiful area, in nature. There is a small pond behind the main building and across the street, there is a bigger pond where you can do paddle boats. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable beds, we didn't ask for a balcony, but would next time. We weren't in the main build which I really liked, it was so quiet in the evening. Seeing that I am a travel agent, I wanted to experience all that the Auberge had to offer. If you enjoy the nordic spa, then you will enjoy a similar experience at the Auberge, with its hot pool & cold pool. It was so refreshing! They also have a sauna. We treated ourselves to a massage, it was great and relaxing. Now let's talk about the food :) All I can say, It was AMAZING!!! It was fresh, delicious, and good size portions, You need to try the Black Rock Grill., you won't regret the experience. Just a note: do not be surprised about the lack of paint everywhere, as they only had 3 weeks to open and get prepared, all of the Renos they had planned for the terrasse was not able to be done in time. I highly recommend staying at Auberge du Vieux Foyer.

One of the best rack of lamb I have had, ever. Excellent filet mignon served on hot stone (take the flambé option). Great service with very friendly staff.

Good location with beautiful views from the dining room. The staff was friendly et helpful. The food was quite tasty. But I hated the room. We had a comfort room which meant " we had a double size whirlpool " the old fashion tub was totally out of place in a tiny bathroom. The room was furnished with cheap foam like furniture . It looked dated.

Nice little hotel. Neat rooms with large funky bathtubs, no fridge in the roons in the main building. Love the outdoor hot tub. We went in while snowing outside. Meals were al la carte; tasty and higher end. We had 4 course meal that starts half hour after ordering from 6:30 pm and finishes by 9 pm. There is no free coffee or tea throught out the day, you need to order and pay for it. Nice experience.

Very clean and up to date room in the annex building of the Auberge. The restaurant serves excellent quality food, what we have come to expect in Quebec restaurants. Very large outdoor hot tub, nice pool and sauna. We we're on bicycles and they have a locked storage room for bikes, or in the winter, skis. I would stay again if in the area.

Great place to go. It was our third time. There is a big outdoor spa and also a Sauna. The people are helpful and the rooms are clean. We had a package with dinner and breakfast. I recommand the Blackrock tenderloin, you cook it yourself on a hot rock. The breakfast also always suprise us with choices of eggs and pancake. Would definitely come back.

I stayed there for a month and a half during summer and it was pretty cozy. The employees were very nice. Well located as well

Beautiful place. Food excellent. 4 service supper. Breakfast good variety. A brunch on Sunday. Great ammenities. Close to center of town. Spa was great. Had a massage.
